The second generation of the Kia Seltos will officially debut on Wednesday, December 10, the automaker says. In the meantime, we can take a look at a handful of new teasers.
Based on these, the affordable SUV took on a boxier appearance with slim vertical LED headlights, new taillights, a wider radiator grille and flush door handles. On the whole, it resembles Kia’s battery-powered EV5 to a certain extent.
Customers will be choosing between two visual packages called X-Line and GT-Line, but that’s all we know regarding the trim. Powertrains also remain to be announced. Carscoops believes the standard 1.6-liter petrol engine may continue to be available with some design improvements, and a hybrid powertrain similar to that of the Kia Niro may also be offered. FWD will likely be standard and AWD optional.
