Ram 1500 lineup gets updated for 2025

Ram has previewed the 2025-model-year facelift of its most popular pickup truck, the 1500.

On the outside, you can recognize the new version by its larger radiator grille sporting a different pattern, as well as revised headlights. Inside, the whole dashboard has been updated with a third (10.25-inch) display added to the 12.3-inch dashboard and 14.5-inch multimedia screen.

Things look different in the engine palette as well, where there are no more any V8 options. A 3.0-liter Hurricane I6 comes to replace them with 420 PS (414 hp / 309 kW) and 636 Nm (469 lb-ft) of torque. A stronger boost option is available with 540 PS (533 hp / 397 kW) and 706 Nm (521 lb-ft). The transmission is still eight-speed automatic, but the company claims it has been reinforced and reworked to improve peak towing capacity. The rear axle gets multiple differential options.

Two new trim levels have been added: Tungsten for luxury-minded buyers and RHO for serious off-roading enthusiasts. The RHO is coming to replace the now-obsolete Ram TRX version, which packed a massive 6.2-liter V8 and produced 712 PS (702 hp / 524 kW). The latest model year maxes out at 540 metric horsepower, as we mentioned above.

All lower-end Ram 1500 truck versions are slated to reach production in the first quarter of 2024, with the high-end RHO scheduled to join them in the third quarter. The detailed specifications will also be announced closer to the production launch.
