Lucas Auer makes a comeback to DTM

Austrian racing driver Lucas Auer will be returning to the DTM racing series after being disqualified from the Red Bull Racing Support Programme and having an exceptionally poor Super Formula season in Japan.

It is reported that Auer has already signed a contract with Gerhard Berger, nephew of the DTM CEO.

‘I have dealt with BMW several times during my career, and things are looking my way now,’ Auer commented. ‘Now, I am counting down to the day when I get behind the wheel of my M4.’

The driver steered a Mercedes in the DTM tournaments in 2015 through 2018, winning four races in total and ranking sixth in the overall standing.
