This 1962 Chevy Corvette restomod costs $200k

An interesting sale ad has recently surfaced on eBay, offering this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette restomod for U.S. $200,000. This goes to show that sometimes, properly restored and modernized vehicles may cost much more than their bone-stock counterparts, even though many people prefer their retro rides unaltered.

According to the poster of the ad, the tuning took All American Street Rods (Gainesville, Virginia) 5 years and 10,000 hours of work to complete.

The exclusive vehicle flaunts a unique front fascia design similar to that of the 1957 Corvette, a PPG Silver paintjob and SLG45 wheels (18” in front, 20” in the back).

The interior of the car makes use of genuine brown leather and offers such modern tech as power windows, a Dakota Digital dashboard, a paddle shifter, and a removable hard top.

The rear-drive 1962 Chevy Corvette comes powered by a monstrous GM LSX454 7.4 V8 engine linked to a Chevy Performance SuperMatic 4L80E transmission. The seller quotes an output of 627 hp (468 kW) and 795 Nm (586 lbft) of torque. There is no mention of usage stats.

Now, would you be tempted to buy a car like this for two hundred grand?
