Tiny Kei car becomes Pocket Bunny Godzilla

Pandem, a name widely associated with bold and over-the-top Rocket Bunny body kits, has come to the Tokyo Auto Salon with something unexpected and hilarious, yet scheduled for mass production.

The parody kit is known under the name “Pocket Bunny” and targets the Suzuki Twin. Once installed, it turns the 27-hp urban microcar into a distant relative of the Nissan GT-R R32. To that end, it sheds most of its OEM bodywork except for the roof and the doors and gains an actual trunk compartment. Granted, it’s small, but the original has none at all.

Similar treatment awaits the interior, which ditches its steering wheel, seats and multimedia system in favor of superior aftermarket counterparts. There also seems to be a roll cage installed based on the photos, but we wonder just how efficient it is in a car so far removed from all things track-friendly. This is not to say that the Twin is slow: it can hit 120 km/h (75 mph) on a highway, so there’s that.

The package will soon go on sale priced at the equivalent of U.S. $4,200. Installation is not included, and the tuning company warns us that it is irreversible: once applied, the kit permanently changes the car and cannot be removed.
