The team of experts over at EuroNCAP has published a video selection featuring the crash tests it conducted the last year on five vehicles from different market segments. At the top of the safety rating are two China-made cars, two Teslas and four other EVs, each considered the safest in its whole vehicle category.

The all-electric Ora Funky Cat compact hatchback was awarded alongside the large Wey Coffee 01 SUV. The latter is unique in the sense that it is the only hybrid on the list.

In the Large Family car segment, the Ioniq 6 EV claimed the crown with 97% adult protection and other remarkable achievements.

Should you be looking for a safe compact SUV, consider the Tesla Model Y. As for the Model S, it managed to score two medals at once – as the Safest Premium Car and the Safest Electric Vehicle overall.
