Tuners complete the first game-inspired VW Beetle GT

As some of you doubtlessly know, there is a stylish racer named the VW Beetle GT in Gran Turismo Sport. Tuners have long wanted to transfer it from the video game into our reality – and here is the first finished result.

The project was carried out by two German companies, JP Performance and Prior Design. The body kit makes the car look like a true descendant of the Beetle RSi line, and outshines even the gorgeous Beetle R show car from a decade ago. Our favorite exterior highlight is the flared fenders with aerodynamic flaps on both bumpers. Note also the missing exhaust tips: they have actually migrated to just behind the front arches. How’s that for unconventional?

Like its virtual prototype, the Beetle sports round yellow headlights, and the rear end sports a huge wing along with a diffuser installed over the stock apron.

The kit is compatible with all current-gen Beetles produced in 2011-2019 and can be pre-ordered from €5,990. Only 53 units will be made.
