The Volkswagen Tayron is only available in China at this point, but the company has just confirmed that it will get released in other countries in the future.
According to Autocar UK, the Tayron that will ship outside of China will not be even close to the original (shown in the gallery and the video here). The first generation that came out in 2018 will be replaced with a new one, which is already in development and due out around 2025.
The global Tayron version will be produced in Germany. It will be larger than the current generation and share its architecture with the Tiguan Mk3. This also means that it will have three seat rows inside by default. Most technical details remain to be announced, but Volkswagen has confirmed that the buyers will get multiple plug-in hybrid options to choose from. The most powerful of these will be rated at 268 PS (264 hp / 197 kW).
