The Longline/Ricardo MkII (LSV) you see here is a military-issue ATV suited for driving on common roads. It is currently on sale from Bonhams Auctions in the UK and is expected to go for the equivalent of U.S. $35–38 grand.
The MKII version used a Volkswagen four-cylinder engine in a permanent AWD drivetrain. It could hit 97 km/h (60 mph) when new.
The example on sale lacks any munitions on board, but that doesn’t mean it can’t carry any. The Longline/Ricardo LSV was designed to carry mounted machine guns along with a portable anti-tank missile launcher, so it can take quite some strain.
Originally produced by Longline for the British army, Ricardo bought out the project later and continued the production under the double name.
