The Denza X is a mid-size crossover SUV set for Guanghou show debut

Denza – a carmaker founded by Daimler AG and BYD a few years ago – will be unveiling its first car at the Guangzhou Motor Show on November 22, 2019.

The Denza X is a mid-size crossover SUV that takes much after the concept car of the same name shown in Macao this summer. Based on the newly released images, the slide-out door handles made room for a more typical design, and the lighting all around has been enlarged. As for the dimensions, the production car will be the same size as the Mercedes-Benz GLE.

Customers will receive a choice between two powertrain options: all-electric and hybrid. The former will deliver 245 hp (183 kW) to the wheels by means of a single electric motor. Its range is currently being estimated at 500 km / 375 miles (NEDC). The latter will get a two-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 192 hp (144 kW) and two electric motors joining their efforts for 395 hp (295 kW).
