Audi RS4 undergoes ABT Sportsline treatment

German tune-up company ABT Sportsline has outfitted the Audi RS4 with a performance boost, chassis reinforcements and carbon-fiber décor, naming the result “RS4-S”.

The carbon body kit consists of a front splitter, a rear diffuser, air vent fins and side mirror caps. Also on offer are ten-spoke ABT Sport GR wheels sized 21 inches and a stainless-steel exhaust system with four 102mm (4”) tips instead of just two. Carbon fiber and leather can be found throughout the cabin, and the seats wear ABT and RS4-S badges.

The stock car comes powered by a 2.9-liter V6 rated at 450 hp (336 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. ABT offers two upgrade stages for it, the first one raising the numbers to 510 hp (380 kW) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) and the second one being marginally more efficient at 530 hp (395 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft). The automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system stay unmodified, but the tuner sells new anti-sway bars and height-adjustable springs for the suspension.

The ABT RS4-S hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, whereas its unmodded counterpart manages the same speed in 4.1 seconds. Lifting the top speed to 300 km/h (186 mph) is available in the Stage 2 kit as a paid option.
