Hyundai stretches the new Tucson for China

The Hyundai Tucson L, which debuted at the Auto Guangzhou, has 130 mm of extra body length, 95 mm of extra wheelbase and revised trim for the Chinese market.

The car looks almost identical to the global version of the outside, except for the two separate exhaust tips instead of dual ones. The interior gets a squared-off steering wheel and a vertical infotainment display doubling as a climate control interface.

The digital dash cluster, gear selection buttons and center tunnel stay unchanged from the international version.

Powertrains haven’t been announced yet, but other markets get the Tucson with a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine, a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated one, a 1.6- and a 2.0-liter turbo diesel and a few hybrid options.
The Hyundai Tucson L is slated to hit showroom floors across China in the second quarter of 2021.
