Peugeot gets ready to unveil an SUV EV with 700 km (435 miles) of range

The French automaker has shared some images previewing its future all-electric car lineup. Many images seem inspired by the Inception Concept (see video). The first model to reach the market will be the Peugeot e-3008, an SUV based on the recent STLA Medium architecture.

The company highlights that the model will offer up to 700 km (435 miles) of all-electric driving on a single charge. Buyers will be able to choose from three powertrains, one of which will consist of two motors – a first for Peugeot.

The new platform should enable the automaker to implement a variety of modern technologies and services, but the details remain to be announced.

The e-3008 is scheduled to come out in the second half of 2023, followed by a larger SUV named the e-5008. In the following two years, the company plans to produce the next generation of the 308 model, the e-308 and the e-408. Out of these, the e-308 is less of a mystery than the others since we know it is coming with an electric motor rated at 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.
