Nissan and Renault announce twin CUVs for India

The two allied car companies will soon be launching new cars in India based on the same CMF-B platform and tech.

While this isn’t mentioned outright, everything suggests that both are closely related to the recently revealed Dacia Duster for Europe (see video). The five-seat versions will be released first and seven-seaters will follow at a later point.

At this time, Renault only has three vehicles on the Indian market – the Kiger, the Kwid and the Triber. Nissan is even worse off with a single SUV called the Magnite on sale in the country. Still, with the local version of the Dacia Duster having been out of production for a few years now, it would make sense to fill the gap.
