GMC is revealing a couple new cars this month. The facelifted Canyon pickup series and the fifth-generation Yukon SUV have already premiered, and the Terrain crossover is going to follow their example soon – but, as some have pointed out, it has already shown itself.
The marque’s smallest and most affordable utility vehicle simply stood parked next to other GMC cars at the recent Yukon premiere, probably trying not to draw too much attention to its humble person. Based on the photos and the short video, it received new headlights, radiator grille and front bumper, the latter part looking like that of the Yukon or the Sierra.
The most interesting bit is that the show specimen depicted here is the Terrain AT4. The AT4 spec was previously unavailable for the model, but it looks like this is going to change. The new 2020 Terrain AT boasts black wheels and body kit elements, as well as a revised off-road stance.
With the introduction of the Terrain AT4, all GMC-branded cars now have their ‘active leisure’ version. The only exception comes in the form of the Savana van, which has made it for nearly a quarter of a century without substantial design changes.
The original GMC Terrain came out in 2017. Sales of the 2020 facelift will begin this fall.
