2026 Haval Raptor Hi4 shows up ahead of launch

Great Wall has published some official photos of its facelifted Haval Menglong a.k.a. Raptor SUV along with the technical specs of its hybrid powertrain known as the Hi4.

The side view is pretty much exactly the same as before the facelift, so unless the owner goes for new wheels and a new exterior finish called Mint Green, you won’t be able to tell it from the predecessor. Slightly reshaped fender flares make the SUV around 30 mm (1.2”) wider than the pre-facelift variant, but we are finding it really hard to notice. At the rear end, the only difference is “GWM” (Great Wall Motor) lettering on the spare wheel cover, instead of “Haval”.

The SUV stays 4,800 mm long, 1,950 mm wide and 1,843 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,738 mm. It benefits from an improved ADAS package now including seven cameras, a millimeter-range radar and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The interior has fewer physical buttons than ever and houses a dual-spoke steering wheel.

A 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and two electric motors join their efforts to drive the wheels with 443 PS (437 hp / 326 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. The Haval Raptor Hi4 needs 5.9 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph). A 35-kWh battery pack gives it up to 151 km (94 miles) of WLTC-rated range. For a bit of perspective, the pre-facelift version had only 295 PS (291 hp / 217 kW) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft) total and needed full six seconds for the sprint.

The latest photos also show the updated model with a redesigned radiator grille sporting slim vertical bars instead of a single horizontal slat. The headlights now sport square LED patterns instead of round, and the taillights seem revamped, too.
