Drag Race: BMW M4 vs. RS6 Avant vs. Alfa Romeo Stelvio

Performance cars come in all sizes and shapes nowadays, so it should not be surprising that CarWOW decided to compare an Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio against a BMW M4 and an Audi RS6 Avant on a drag strip.

The coupe, the SUV and the station wagon have much in common on paper. The M4 utilizes a 3.0-liter turbo six-pot rated at 516 PS (509 hp / 379 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio makes use of a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 boosted to the same power, but only 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. The RS6 is the strongest of the bunch with 608 PS (600 hp / 447 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) at the output end, but counterbalances it with its high curb weight of 2,075 kilos (4,574 pounds).

The first race turned out extremely tight, with the Alpha getting some headway, but the Audi claiming the victory by pulling slowly ahead at the very end. Watch the full video for more exciting action.
