Photos of the Baojun Yueye, an electric crossover SUV with Suzuki Jimny looks – have surfaced online.
The interior seems to be minimal with a dual-screen dash cluster, barely any physical buttons in view and a rather unusual glove compartment redesign. If you look closer, the company proposes installing various shelves and racks at the passenger’s side of the front row.
On the exterior side of things, the Baojun Yueye looks much like the Jimny (watch the video if you’d like to compare), just 100 mm (4 inches) shorter. Boxy outlines, power running boards and a rugged body kit sum up to a rather brutal off-roader look. The tailgate flaunts a display called Car-Watch, which you can use to display various animations and messages to the drivers behind you (don’t ask).
Powering the EV is a single motor rated at 68 PS (67 hp / 50 kW) and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) of torque. The range amounts to 303 km (188 miles) per the Chinese standard.
