BMW is currently working on a facelift of its entire 4-Series lineup, including the M4 flagship. We have already seen it being tested on public roads and racetracks and know for a fact that the visual modifications are minimal. The tech, on the other hand, seems to be in for a major overhaul.
Three allegedly leaked BMW documents have been published online on Bimmer Post suggesting that the model year 2024 will bring the M4 Competition an upgraded version of its S58 inline-six engine. It looks like all AWD Competition versions will be getting an extra 20 horsepower (15 kilowatts), while the RWD lineup will remain unchanged. The documents also specify that this boosted S58 variant will be available both in Europe and the United States.
Another important bit of into is that the refreshed M4 is scheduled for production in March 2024 for both North America and Europe. If true, that means the premiere will take place at the beginning of the next year.
