Brabus reintroduces the 900 Rocket based on the latest G-Class

The original Brabus 900 Rocket Edition debuted nearly five years ago with the then-latest Mercedes-AMG G 63 platform underneath the extreme build. The company has now announced a continuation series, but it will be strictly limited.

The new 900 Rocket will be based on the post-facelift G-Wagon and will feature corresponding visual tweaks, such as illuminated badges and extra aero parts. The full list includes, among other things, flared and ventilated fenders, widened side sills, bulkier bumpers for both ends, a rear wing and a diffuser. To complete the look, customers are invited to install 24-inch aftermarket wheels with carbon covers and overhaul the interior to taste. The latter involves generous amounts of premium leather with carbon fiber and artificial suede for accents.

Much like before, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood gets a major makeover that sees its displacement go up to 4.5 liters. Enlarged turbos, forged internals and a tuned ECU let it pump out 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) and 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) of torque, although the actual torque is capped at 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) for safety reasons. Sprinting to 100 km/h (62 mph) only takes 3.7 seconds with a tune-up like this, while the stock G-Class needs 4.2.

All prices are private, and production is limited to 30 units.
