Video: Ferrari 12Cilindri gets a sound fix from Novitec

Ferrari’s latest supercar, the 12Cilindri coupe and roadster, has garnered plenty of reserved praise with reviewers being especially shy to talk about its appearance and engine soundtrack. For a V12-packing street monster, it ended up looking and sounding rather tame. Novitec rushed to fix this shortcoming, and here’s the result.

The new exhaust system features active valves for precise tonal adjustment. Just check out the video, and you’ll get what it’s for. Customers can order it made from stainless steel, heat-resistant Inconel alloy, or the same but with 999 fine gold plating for the ultimate in heat dissipation efficiency (and bling, while you’re at it). Those who aren’t planning on driving on the streets may grab an even louder track-only version.

Further available modifications include an X-pipe, which the Bavarian tuning company claims improves the flow compared to the standard H-pipe, and a lighter set of 100-cell catalytic converters. Compared to the stock 200-cell arrangement, it should increase the exhaust gas throughput and let the engine run cooler.

All pricing is private as usual, but orders are already being processed.
