Ford GT spawns a special version in honor of a 57-year-old concept

The second generation of the Ford GT is steadily heading towards retirement, but before it can go, another limited edition will be released for collectors.

Called the Ford GT ’64 Prototype Heritage Edition, it pays homage to the famous racecar that kicked off Ford’s racing program. The coupe sports a white finish attenuated by pinstripes and visible carbon fiber accents. It rides on carbon-fiber wheels 20 inches in diameter and has silver Brembo calipers.

The cabin is also awash with carbon, and makes extensive use of black and blue leather and Alcantara. The stock 3.5-liter V6 under the hood still produces 669 PS (660 hp / 492 kW).
