Ineos Grenadier gets two Defender-inspired special editions

Afzal Kahn, the owner of Kahn Design and its subsidiary Chelsea Truck Company, has announced two retro tuning packages for the Ineos Grenadier.

Both are called “Heritage Remastered” and draw inspiration from the classical Land Rover Defender. Starting with the mint-green SUV, it rocks a radiator grille design that became popular in the 1950s, as well as fender flares and a distinct front end with headlights tucked behind the front bumper. The lights themselves are LED-based, so there’s no mistaking it for a vintage car. As for the wheels, they may look like cheap steelies, but are actually 20-inch aluminum alloys.

In turn, the black example in the gallery above pays tribute to the Defender 110 SVX 60th Anniversary Edition of 2008. It sports a more restrained, monochrome exterior and an elegant perforated leather interior.

From the technical viewpoint, both are based on the Fieldmaster spec and use the same 3.0-liter BMW I6 engine to drive the wheels with 286 PS (282 hp / 210 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.

Either of these special editions will set you back £10,000 in the UK, in addition to the £70,000+ of the Grenadier Fieldmaster.
