The new Range Rover Sport SV is coming soon – on May 31, to be exact. In the meantime, though, the standard Sport version remains the most powerful RR money can buy. In the latest video by Sam CarLegion on YouTube, it runs a quarter-mile race against an AMG GLE 53.
The Mercedes is not the strongest in its own lineup, making it an ideal contender for the Range Rover. The latter benefits from a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter V8 engine twin-turbocharged to 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission to drive all four wheels.
