Toyota has filed a trademark application in Europe for as many as three Lexus model names at once: HZ 300e, HZ 450e, and HZ 550e. It looks like the company is working on a more compact alternative to the Lexus RZ (pictured below).
The RZ is 4.8 meters (15.75 feet) long and is obtainable with a dual-motor powertrain rated at 313 PS (309 hp / 230 kW) and 435 Nm (321 lb-ft). The specific model designation is ‘450e’. It would make sense for the new HZ 450e to utilize the same powertrain.
If we had to guess, the entry-level HZ 300e sounds like a 2WD/single-motor car, while the HZ 550e is obviously the top spec.
Lexus has yet to comment on any of this info. The HZ has not been formally introduced yet.
