Luxury-laden Luxeed V9 leaks online

Luxeed, a Chinese car brand founded by Huawei around two years ago, is getting ready to unveil its third production vehicle: the range-topping minivan known as the Luxeed V9. Scheduled for launch in H1 2026, it is coming to the domestic market in battery-electric and plug-in hybrid flavors.

In the meantime, someone has leaked photos of a camouflaged example on the Internet. The model looks quite similar to its predecessors – the S7 sedan and R7 SUV – and runs on Chery E0X-L underpinnings. All powertrain info is pending, but the E0X-L platform supports 800-volt electrics by design, so it should charge up in mere minutes.

Our expectations of interior features include an advanced self-driving system based on the LiDAR visible in the gallery above, Huawei infotainment hardware and software, and premium trimming materials all around. Rumors also talk about innovative “surround” airbags that envelop passengers in their seats from all sides in an emergency. Corresponding patents already exist, but whether they will be implemented in the Luxeed V9 remains to be seen.

In terms of size, the minivan is comparable with the Zeekr 009, which measures 5.2 meters (203 inches) long. As such, we suppose it will be advertised as its direct competitor and cost about the same amount. In China, the Zeekr 009 starts from the equivalent of U.S. $56,900 and reaches $71,100 in the top spec.
