Mansory thinks the Maserati MC20 needs to be over the top and in your face

The Maserati MC20 was met with general praise from industry critics and fans alike when it debuted not long ago (see video). Many compliments were directed at its laconic and clean exterior design, but German tuner Mansory must have found it lackluster, judging by these sketches proposing a radical transformation of the model.

The whole kit seems made of pure carbon fiber and includes more than a dozen parts with some configurable options in the mix. Starting with the nose, it now flaunts a gargantuan splitter sized nearly as big as the front bumper. New bezels highlight the air intakes and the frunk vents (heh), and canards at the sides complement the rest of the styling with a suitably over-the-top approach.

And then there is the tail-end, which boasts a huge rear wing on mounted three supports, a lip spoiler, a diffuser and a carbon-fiber engine lid with an air scoop that replaces the whole rear window. Needless to say, the driver will face visibility problems with a setup like this, so Mansory offers a back-up video camera to address the issue. Of course, there is still the issue of the camera being a paid option you can take or leave.

Other than that, buyers can choose from multiple carbon fiber varieties for their kit and grab a set of FV5 forged wheels with lots of thin spokes and low-profile tires all around. The suspension can be dropped by 25 mm (1 inch) at both axles.

Power still comes from the stock 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 rated at 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW), but you can order an exhaust system with a remotely controlled valve to keep the exhaust soundtrack exciting and fresh.

Okay, as you can clearly see by now, the stock Maserati MC20 and the Mansory take on it are very different cars. The interesting question is, which one would be your choice?
