YouTube channel Warped Perception has posted a video detailing the consequences of speed-driving over a road bump that’s supposed to prevent you from just that.
A Mercedes-Benz E-Class with partially disassembled bodywork and a slo-mo camera on board was used for the test. Several different materials and sizes of speed bumps were tested.
In the end, the vlogger came to the conclusion that only broad concrete humps are relatively low-risk for your car, while most other bumps can ruin your suspension and deform the car body if hit with enough momentum.
