Mercedes-Maybach luxury vehicles are aimed at customers who want an individualized approach and rich customization options straight from the factory, so loading them full of aftermarket mods is considered a big no-no. The owner of this S 680 felt they could still do with a little bit of extra styling.
RDB LA, which carried out the project, outfitted the saloon with semi-sealed wheels the likes of which you could find on the rally racers back in the 1990s. Called the MBZ1, the wheel set is designed in house and looks like an unexpectedly good fit on the luxury car. That said, the team that carried out the job took care of numerous small details to ensure that the overall impression is good. You may note that the entire car body is wrapped in a matching shade of silver, with the door handles, side mirror caps and badges painted accordingly.
A gently lowered suspension rounds off the stylish look. The cabin and the engine seem to remain stock, which is in no way an issue: the mill pumps out 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) and takes the luxobarge from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds.
