Nissan Kicks spied testing in mild off-road cosplay

A refreshed Nissan Kicks has been spotted in North America that Carscoops believes to be a Rock Creek variant of the compact crossover.

The Rock Creek package is already available for the larger Pathfinder and Rogue (a.k.a. X-Trail) models. Based on the photos here, it includes a redesigned radiator grille, a new front bumper with revised air intakes, and plastic guard trims all around the body. There’s also a roof rack and new wheels. The rear end seems too well disguised for us to draw any conclusions just yet.

In Nissan’s North American lineup, the Kicks is the smallest crossover available with a body length of only 4,365 millimeters (171.9 inches). It’s also the cheapest by far at $22,730 before options. A 2.0-liter engine mated to the front wheels via a CVT propels it with 141 PS (139 hp / 104 kW). AWD is listed under options, but serious off-road capabilities aren’t something the Kicks is known for. As such, this new version of it is more of a styling upgrade for those into the whole “rugged aesthetics” thing.

It’s still unclear when the sales may start, but Nissan has a booth at the upcoming Auto China 2026. The expo opens tomorrow for the media and April 24th for everyone, so stay tuned if you don’t want to miss any premieres.
