Manthey Racing brings its 718 Cayman GT4 RS aero kit to the USA

European owners of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS received a nice aftermarket option from Manthey Racing last year, which let the compact sports car lap up the Nürburgring more than six seconds faster than the stock version. It has now gone on sale in the USA priced at around $60,000 – almost as much as a new Cayman GT4 RS.

The base package includes a 4-way-adjustable rear wing and a number of other aerodynamic enhancements that join their efforts to almost double the downforce at 200 km/h (124 mph). Specifically, you get 169 kilos, or 372 pounds, of downward squeeze at that acceleration. Stiffer springs and stainless-steel brake lines are also included. Manthey leaves the stock 3.0-liter flat-six engine stock, meaning it still churns out its usual 500 PS (493 hp / 368 kW).

The above costs $53,946 without installation. Optional front fender vent trims and a visible-carbon Gurney flap for the rear end add $5,890 to the total. Outfitted like this, the sports car was able to complete a full North Loop run in 7 minutes 3.121 seconds (see video).
