Shaquille O’Neal boasts another monstrous truck from Apocalypse

Once in retirement, U.S. basketball star Shaquille O’Neal became a car enthusiast and quickly had a reality check when he couldn’t fit his 7’1” (2m 16 cm) tall frame inside some cabins. That’s why his garage currently houses some of the most gargantuan vehicles, such as this Ram 1500 TRX by Apocalypse Manufacturing.

The entire body of the truck was redone from scratch using bulletproof panels and Kevlar fiber lining. Bespoke headlights and radiator grille complemented the matte grey exterior, but while he did lift the suspension, O’Neal decided against installing a third pair of wheels. Apocalypse is a tuner otherwise known for its 6x6 conversions.

The interior was retrimmed from the ground up using bright red leather, the seats in the back and the audio system were replaced and a “Starry Sky” ceiling reminiscent of Rolls-Royces was implemented as well. The engine likely stayed at its stock 712 PS (702 hp / 523 kW).

You can order a similar overhaul for your own Ram 1500 TRX. It’s listed on the tuner’s website as the Super Truck and reportedly costs from $160,000 with the donor vehicle already included. In his video dedicated to O’Neal’s ride, though, YouTuber Mr.Gotdamnit claims that the basketball player paid $3.5 million for it. Which one is closer to the truth is up for speculation, but we guess all that armor is expensive.
