Toyota C-HR splits into GR Sport & C-HIC in Europe

The European branch of Toyota has announced two special versions of the C-HR SUV coming to that market: the C-HIC, which should become available later in November, and the GR Sport, which is underway to its January debut.

The GR Sport line will ship solely with hybrid powertrains rated at 122 PS (120 hp / 90 kW) and 184 PS (181 hp / 135 kW). It will also offer 19-inch alloy rims, new headlights and front splitter, a black-backed logo, a dark radiator grille, and Piano Black accents on the front bumper, doors and the area next to the anti-fog lights.

Inside, the GR Sport combines leather or fabric with Alcantara inserts and either red or grey stitching.

For its part, the C-HIC edition will offer dual-tone paint options, 18-inch wheels, a grey ceiling and a leather trim.

Both crossovers will come with the automaker’s signature Active Safety package plus ESA, pedestrian recognition, lane control and adaptive cruise control.
