Arctic Trucks rolls out an off-road-friendly upgrade for the Toyota Hilux

The Toyota Hilux is considered among the most wilderness-capable trucks as is, but Arctic Trucks just keeps looking for ways to make it even better.

The tuner currently works on the latest version of the truck that saw the daylight last summer. Planned upgrades include more robust suspension parts, a 65mm lift kit, and replacing the OEM wheels with 17-inch custom rims wrapped in 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 rubber. The front and the rear differentials are also on the to-do list, because the team believes they can transfer torque more efficiently than they do.

Exterior changes are also there: look for them near the fenders, the running boards and the 30th anniversary badges.

The 2.8-liter turbo diesel still churns out its usual 201 hp (204 PS / 150 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft).

Prices start from £18,780 for the tune-up only (donor vehicle not included). You may remember that Arctic Trucks built the first passenger car to traverse the entire Antarctic – watch the video if you do not.
