Check out a collection-worthy 2002 Volkswagen Golf

This 2002 Volkswagen Golf GTI will go on sale on July 31, and there are at least two reasons to consider it unique.

First, it belongs to a limited run dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Golf model. As such, it comes with 18-inch BBS wheels, a different front bumper, side sill extensions, and a rear spoiler. Its silver body provides a contrast to a red-and-black interior, which contains Recaro bucket seats. The steering wheel is on the right side, as the car had originally been made for the UK market. A 1.8-liter turbo drives a six-speed manual transmission with 180 PS (178 hp / 132 kW), a sizeable push upwards from its usual 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW).

Aside from being limited-run, the Golf GTI is in pristine condition with 13 kilometers (8.1 miles) on the odometer. Its original owner put it into his garage after buying and has never driven it since.

The price remains unannounced. A similar hatchback fetched £11,800 at an auction in Great Britain three years ago, but that one had around 46,000 kilometers (28,600 miles) under its belt.
