While Volkswagen and Xpeng are getting ready to unveil the all-electric ID. Unyx 07 sedan in China, an anonymous photographer has posted images of what looks like a camo-free example of the production car. Some technical details are also available now, so let’s take a look.
On the whole, the four-door EV resembles the coupe-like SUV that Volkswagen first launched in China under the name “ID. Unyx” and later renamed it to “ID. Unyx 06” (see video). The lighting units in particular are very similar all around. On the flip side, the bumpers look noticeably sportier, the wheels measure up to 20 inches of diameter, and there is a black trim all around the lower body – something that the model 06 didn’t have.
Size-wise, the newcomer is 4,853 mm long, 1,852 mm wide and 1,566 mm tall with 2,826 mm between the axles, making it comparable with the latest Toyota Camry.
All powertrain specs remain to be announced. The ID. Unyx 06 had a single e-motor with 231 PS (228 hp / 170 kW) and a traction battery rated at 59.9 kWh. It came rated at 558 km (346 miles) per charge.
