Hennessey Performance launches Bureko 6×6, a six-wheeled pickup truck

Car tuning shop Hennessey Performance has unveiled the Bureko 6×6, a pickup truck based on the Chevrolet Silverado.

The six-wheeler is 5.8 m (19 ft.) long, 2.14 m (7.02 ft.) wide and 2.15 m (7.05 ft.) tall. It weighs in at 2,800 kg (6,170 lb).

The engine bay of the Bureko 6×6 holds a heavily-tuned 6.2-liter V8 engine boosted from the stock 420 hp (313 kW) to 708 hp (528 kW) and 912 Nm (673 lb×ft). Driven by a monster motor like this, the bulky car hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.5 seconds, which is comparable to the acceleration performance of the Volkswagen Golf R, Ford Focus RS and Mercedes A35 AMG.

Coming with raised suspension and off-road wheels, the truck should have no trouble braving the harshest off-road conditions there is. This comes at the price of maximum speed, however: the six-wheeler only revs up to 170 km/h (106 mph).

If you like the Bureko design philosophy but don’t feel like investing into a six-wheeled car, consider a lighter, more affordable Bureko 4×4. Both will hit production soon; prices remain unknown.
