New Lingenfelter supercharger kit promises up to 650 PS

Lingenfelter Performance has rolled out a supercharger-based upgrade for a number of newer General Motors engines mostly used in pickup trucks, specifically the ones with 5.3 and 6.2 liters of displacement.

The former engine can be found in the 2019 Chevy Silverado, among others, and produces 355 PS (350 hp / 261 kW) and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) of torque. After the tuning is applied, it gets extra 190 PS (187 hp / 140 kW) and 215 Nm (159 lb-ft) of torque.

The larger mill pumps out 420 PS (414 hp / 309 kW) and 623 Nm (460 lb-ft) already in its stock form. However, adding an Eaton Advanced High Helix Four-Lobe supercharger along with some other performance components convinces it to output 230 PS (227 hp / 169 kW) and 204 Nm (150 lb-ft) more than that.

Prices remain to be announced, and Lingenfelter covers the modification with a warranty valid for 3 years or 36,000 miles (around 58,000 kilometers) of use, whichever comes first.
