Fisker Inc. CEO Henrik Fisker posted a new image depicting a pickup truck slated for production in the coming few years – but questions remain as to its prospects.
Fisker tweeted the first teaser pic of an all-electric truck back in February 2020. It showed the tailgate with the word “ALASKA” on it. The pic was then quickly removed without official comment. The new image revealed today looks quite different from the old one, and Fisker says the production version of the truck will be “even more radical.”
The automaker’s first electric car in the production queue is called Ocean. It is an SUV that should hit the market next year and compete against the likes of the Audi e-tron, Mercedes-Benz EQC, and Tesla Model X. It will pack a dual-motor powertrain, an 80-kWh battery, and solar panels that should extend its range by around 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles) annually.
Aside from the Alaska and Ocean, Fisker plans until 2025 include a four-door coupe, a coupe-shaped SUV, and another SUV.
