WhistlinDiesel restores a 63-year-old pickup to top condition

Remember WhistlinDiesel, the YouTube star we told you about just yesterday, who loves torturing and destroying expensive cars? Well, don’t hold us to it, but it looks like the man has some compassion for the retro, after all.

This 1957 GMC Pickup has been restored to peak driving condition and looks almost like new. It boasts a cute dual-tone paintjob in white and Baby Blue, an expensive leather cabin makeover, and a completely restored original dashboard. The suspension alone took $10,000 to build, and the work is far from complete, judging by how the huge tires scrape the arches during turns. Then again, the new chrome-coated wheels measure a whopping 16 inches (41cm) wide, so fitting them under the vintage truck would be a challenge in any case.

Here’s hoping the tuner doesn’t change his mind about keeping this charming little restomod and doesn’t destroy it in some creative new way like he did before!
