Check out a Lamborghini Miura worth $2.25M

A Lamborghini Miura P400 S Coupe used to be known as “the world’s first supercar” will go under the hammer in mid-August. The Sant’Agatha Bolognese manufacturer only made 338 S coupes (for “Spinto”) in total, and this one has the chassis number 4170.

The two-door track weapon came out of the factory in the summer of 1969 and is still in excellent condition, which is why experts are predicting the final price being close to $2,250,000 USD.

The supercar changed hands multiple times, but one of the owners had kept it for around three decades. It underwent a complete restoration in 2009–2010 that saw it resprayed and retrimmed in new colors. Originally Rosso Corsa with a beige interior, it changed hue to Verde Miura and received a black leather makeover for the cabin.

The entire powertrain is original, reportedly restored with the assistance from former Lamborghini employees. The mileage is around 22,000 miles (36,000 km), and the entire history of the car including its restoration details is present is available in documented form.

Powering the P400 S (see video) is a four-liter V12 mill rated at 370 PS (365 hp / 272 kW). The transmission is five-speed manual, and launching from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 5.5 seconds.
