Lotus Exige & Elise gain digital dash option

All Lotus Exige sports coupes and Elise roadsters produced after 2008 can be retrofitted with a digital display instead of the standard instrument cluster. It also isn’t a third-party customization option, but rather something Lotus offers on official terms.

The high-contrast six-inch TFT display fits perfectly within the instrument niche. It will definitely be of interest to racing enthusiasts who often visit raceways throughout their country and beyond. The car has GPS and a preinstalled database of 4,127 racetracks; whenever the driver enters a track, the device automatically registers this event, calculates lap time and provides results breakdown. A dedication action camera slot can be used to film the race on video.

The option costs £1,470 in Great Britain. Dashboards properly installed at authorized dealerships come with a two-year warranty.
