Check out a Nissan Titan masquerading as a Harvester Scout

Bring-a-Trailer had posted a listing for a one-off Nissan Titan truck converted with Ford parts to resemble the International Harvester Scout II from the 1970s. The top bid of $36,500 landed below reserve, though, and the deal fell through.

The builder behind this project took care to rebody the full-size pickup from the ground up, leaving no panels unchanged. He also shortened the chassis by 1,168 mm (45.6 inches) to ensure that the result looked as close to the Scout Mk2 as possible. A number of components were sourced from Ford, including an F-100 windshield, an Econoline roof and an Expedition tailgate.

Underpinning the build is a 2016 Nissan Titan XD, which is the second generation. The original owner had it optioned with a heavy-duty frame and a full PRO-4X package including robust shock absorbers, an electronic rear diff lock and meaty off-road tires. The stock 5.0-liter Cummins V8 still burns diesel fuel for 314 PS (310 hp / 231 kW) that it sends to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.

The unusual replica had 21,000 miles (33,796 kilometers) on the odometer when it went on sale.
