AC Schnitzer launches next-gen wheels for the smaller BMWs

Aftermarket wheel and tuning parts manufacturer AC Schnitzer will soon start shipping its high-tech AC4 Flowforming wheel coming in 20”x8.5” and 20”x9.5” sizes. Let’s see what’s so exciting about it.

The Flowforming technology implies working with a single solid piece of aluminum, machining it into shape and then rolling from the inside of the rim to harden the metal. Such wheels are regarded as highly durable and lightweight. The narrower model weighs in at 11 kg (24.25 lbs), while the wider one is barely heavier at 11.9 kg (26.23 lbs).

As for the eye candy, customers get a rather sophisticated and striking double-five-spoke look resembling the seat of the helicopter propeller. The rim sports a carved groove AC Schnitzer dubs the Undercut, which helps the wheel appear larger than it is. There is also the tuner’s logo engraved in laser, and only two finishes: Silver + Black and just Black.

The new set is compatible with the BMW 1 Series (F40), 3 Series (G20, G21), BMW 4 Series (G22, G23), and the BMW X2 (F39).
