The new Toyota Supra 3000GT is an homage to its 1994 ancestor

Toyota will be unveiling the Supra 3000GT Concept at the SEMA show, stylized to remind its namesake ancestor dating back to the fourth generation of Supra.

The show car will be getting a ventilated hood cover, wide wheel arches and a large rear wing. No technical specs are being provided at this moment, but boosting the stock 3.0-liter, six-cylinder BMW engine beyond 500 hp / 370 kW would be a simple task, as evidenced by third-party tuning kits.

The 3000GT will not be the only A90 Supra show car at the SEMA. Artisan Spirits and Evasive Motorsports will showcase their newest body kits for the model, and other may join in as well.

It remains unclear whether Toyota Racing Development intends to launch small-batch production based on the 3000GT Concept. A TRD body kit for the A90 is already on sale in Japan.
