Skoda teases a special Karoq concept for adventuring cyclists

The British subsidiary of Skoda has come out with the Karoq Velo, a version of its popular compact SUV adapted to the needs of cyclists. The car has multiple bike mounts, a small washing machine, a kitchen sink, and a drink cooler.

Before proceeding with the Skoda Karoq Velo, the company had conducted a survey among 1,500 British people who shared their opinions on what features they would expect from a bike-carrying SUV.

Unlike the regular Karoq, the Velo has three bike racks (two on the roof and one inside the cabin), a high-pressure washer, a fridge, and a washing machine to get those dirtied sports clothes clean again before returning to the city.

The unique Skoda Karoq concept even has a magnetic holding platform for a drone, enabling you to take one with you and let it fly along while recording a video of your ride. Finally, there is a bike repair toolkit and a panic button in case you’re stuck.

The company said it did not intend to launch the Skoda Karoq Velo anytime soon.
