New BMW X6 M packs 600 horses under the hood

We have seen multiple development mules of the BMW X6 M over the past few years, but this is the first time that the coupe-SUV actually seems to have less mascara on it.

Just like its X5 and X7 siblings, the X6 M sports a new massive radiator grille, a muscular-looking hood, low headlights, and large air intakes protected with honeycomb mesh.

The newcomer also features aerodynamically-shaped wheels, performance brakes, a panoramic glass roof, a slanting back, two rear spoilers, and a quad-pipe exhaust system.

Powering the new SUV is the same 4.4.-liter twin-turbo V8 we have seen on the M5. Its output is rated at 592 hp (441 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb×ft) of torque for the standard trim, and 617 hp (460 kW) for the Competition trim.

The BMW X6 M should celebrate its international premiere in the coming months.
