Meet Brabus 900 Rocket Edition, a G-Class dialed up to 900 HP

Brabus has unleashed its latest custom edition of the Mercedes-AMG G63 S, landing it with an extreme performance boost and a body kit to match.

The team expanded the stock eight-cylinder engine to 4.5 liters of displacement and persuaded it to deliver up to 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) to the wheels along with 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) of torque. However, the peak torque had to be capped at 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) to prevent drivetrain malfunction.

While we probably wouldn’t outright call the G-Class a supercar like the German tuner does, it has almost everything going for it in that regard. The bulky and heavy SUV needs mere 3.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and maxes out at 280 km/h (174 mph) only because no tires are good enough to let it go faster.

The upgrade plan also includes a full carbon-fiber body kit, giant 24-inch wheels and an especially opulent interior wrapped in black leather and adorned with carbon fiber inserts.

A total of Brabus 900 Rocket Edition cars will roll out of the Brabus workshop priced starting from €571,270.
