Following the recent launch of the MH1 400 performance upgrade for the BMW M140i (F20), German tuner Manhart rolls out an update that makes things even more interesting.
The original upgrade raised the stock values from 340 hp (254 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) to 410 hp (306 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). The latest revision has improved these numbers to 435 hp (324 kW) and 655 Nm (483 lb-ft). With a torque like this, the humble 1 Series outperforms even the range-topping BMW M2 CS, and it can be had for less than half the price used!
Other noteworthy options include a catalyst downpipe (HJS Motorsport, 300 cells), as well as a stainless-steel muffler culminating in dual ceramic-coated tips.
Manhart Performance additionally suggests fitting your M140i with six-piston front brake calipers, 380mm (14.8”) brake discs, and 19” Manhart Concave One wheels wrapped in Michelin tires.
