Legacy Overland restores a 27-year-old D110 Defender

The tuner team over at Legacy Overland has finished working on restoring a 1993 Land Rover Defender D110. Let’s see what’s new and exciting, shall we?

The off-roader has been given a fresh coat of British Racing Green, glossy-black wheel arch extensions, robust stainless-steel bumpers, a bull bar, and new side sills. The lights at the front end have been swapped out for modern Xenon counterparts, and the rest have been replaced with LEDs. The new stainless-steel wheel set measures 16 inches in diameter and comes wrapped in BF Goodrich 265/75 tires.

Still, the main highlight of the entire project is the opulent cabin makeover. Gorgeous white leather with greed diamond stitching covers all surfaces in view, there are enough seats for nine passengers (children in the back), and modern amenities include power windows, infotainment and HVAC. The driver takes advantage of satellite navigation and a reversing camera.

The only thing the restomod appears to be sorely missing is a punchy new V8. The 1993 Legacy Overland Defender still draws its power from its old 2.5-liter, four-cylinder diesel mill, albeit refurbished and boosted to 108 horsepower (81 kilowatts).
